Munch Lab

Applied programming 2014 week six

Lectures

At the single lecture I will talk about next weeks exercise.

At the double lecture I will talk about how troubleshooting your code, and about Biopython.

Computer exercises

Complete the Codon usage bias in Streptococcus exercise

Assignment

Write a function that can take a list of nested lists like this one:

l = [[["K", "a"], "s"], ["p", ["e", "r"]], " ", ["M", ["u", [["n", "c"], "h"]]]]

and return a string of all the characters in the right order like this:

"Kasper Munch"

You must do this using recursion. The way you solve this is very similar to the examples we have treated in the lecture on recursion.

Handing in

To hand in the assignment put the code in a file named after your self and the week. If it was me it would be Kasper_Munch_week6.py. Attach it to an email with subject “Assignment” and send it to Dan (das@birc.au.dk). You can see your hand in deadline on the main course page.
